The 2005 Power Wheels Demolition Derby that was held at The Congress Theater in Chicago on February 19, 2005. Housed inside the beautiful old and ornate theater were kegs of cheap beer, tires, hay bales, Texas-style bikini girls, old school country music, a customized trophy, and of course nine kid’s Power Wheels that had been modified for power and defensive strategy by pit crews and mechanics. The teams used everything from battering rams, extra batteries and motors, and axel modifications to bubble wrap. All the drivers had to weigh in under vehicles’ given 130 lb. weight limit.
